In the first airborne operation of the war, the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team landed 25 miles north of Pyongyang to cut off retreating KPA forces and NK leadership, and rescue UNC POWs.

Deputy Commander United Nations Command (UNC) Lieutenant General Scott Winter, AM, and United Kingdom Chief of Joint Operations, Air Marshal Paul Marshall, OBE MA, laid wreaths at the Korean War Memorial in Victoria Embankment Gardens during a commemorative service in London, UK.
UNC representatives from the United States, United Kingdom and Australia gathered to remember those who served following the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950.

Today, United Nations Command (UNC) Deputy Commander LTGEN Scott Winter had the pleasure of meeting members of the UK's All Party Parliamentary Group on North Korea at the @UKParliament in London.
LTGEN Winter shared insights into the evolving security environment on the Korean Peninsula with Lord Houghton of Richmond GCB CBE DL and Lord Alton of Liverpool, highlighting the UNC multinational coalition continued commitment to peace and security in the region.
