FIDA-Uganda’s Nebbi Field Office under the Her Access: SGBV & SRHR Response Project, supported by @unwomenuganda and the @EUinUG through the @UNSpotlight, joined district stakeholders and civil society organisations for the quarterly Nebbi District GBV/Child Protection Coordination Meeting, organised by the Office of the DCAO. 📖
The meeting provided a platform to review #GBV trends and district data, identify gaps in prevention and response, and strengthen referral pathways and linkages between the Police, health facilities and legal support providers. Stakeholders also discussed resource gaps and strategies for strengthening community-level responses to GBV. ⚖️

Yesterday, 184 of our Girls in Tech students sat for their @UVTABOfficial assessment, a significant milestone in their journey.
They have put in the work, built their digital skills, and taken another important step towards certification.
As they await their results, we wish all 184 students the very best. The dedication they have shown throughout this journey is something to be proud of.
We thank @mtnug and @mtnfoundationug for their continued support in creating opportunities for girls and young women through the Girls in Tech programme.

Two years ago, Kisakye Maxensia joined Smart Girls Uganda still figuring out which path to take. On 22 September, she graduates as a trained automotive mechanic.
We trained and mentored her, then secured her an internship at @Shell_Uganda Kitetika, where her passion and hard work opened the door to further training at @Toyota_UG.
Over the past two years, her journey has been one of determination, growth and opportunity.
Her story is best told by her. Watch.
We appreciate our partners and sponsors who made her journey possible: @GlobalSpotlight through @UNDPUganda,@SegalFoundation, @mtnug, @Shell_Uganda Kitetika and @Toyota_UG.
