In 🇺🇦, 53% of those forced to flee their homes are older people in need of care & support.This International Day of Older Persons and throughout the year, UNHCR & partners help those with the greatest needs access accommodation and services, and live with dignity despite the war.

After more than a year in a collective site, Raisa's family moved into a renovated apartment in Kremenchuk. Supported by @qatar_fund, UNHCR is rehabilitating temporary housing & repairing homes across 🇺🇦, helping displaced families rebuild their lives.

Kyiv & the region endure near-constant Russian attacks, causing casualties and damaging homes, hospitals & other infrastructure. Families spend hours in shelters amid explosions. UNHCR & partners continue to respond with materials for repairs, as well as psychosocial & legal aid.

After shelling damaged her home in Kryvyi Rih, Tetiana received emergency shelter materials from UNHCR to help carry out critical repairs before winter. Thanks to the generous support of @KSRelief🇸🇦, families across 🇺🇦 restore homes and get prepared for severe winter conditions.

This weekend, UNHCR joined the inauguration of the "Co-creation Space" IDP hub in Boyarka, Kyiv region, built with UNHCR-supplied materials. It will serve about 6,500 displaced people with social services, psychological support, and integration events.
