Mental health matters beyond a single day! For persons with psychosocial disabilities, stigma and barriers to mental health services do not disappear when World Mental Health Day ends. Challenging stigma and advancing inclusion must be everyday commitments. #MentalHealthMatters

A white cane helps identify obstacles, but it cannot remove them. A parked car and blocking the sidewalk, a roadside stall blocking the path, or an open drain can turn an ordinary journey into an unsafe one for someone who is blind or partially sighted.

This #WhiteCaneAwarenessDay, take a look at your community. Are pedestrian pathways clear and safe? What barriers need to be addressed? What can you raise with your local council? Accessibility is a shared responsibility; let us remove barriers to independent movement. #UNAP

Today is World Cerebral Palsy Day! Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, play, participate, and thrive. Cerebral Palsy may affect movement, posture, and coordination, but the barriers around a child should never determine what they can achieve. 👇🏾

We must also ask: Are learners included? Are their needs being addressed? Can every learner participate and learn? That is the conversation happening at Laroo Primary School today. Quality education must also be inclusive education. #BENProgramme #InclusiveEducation #UNAPD

The symposium is an opportunity to learn, share experiences and contribute to conversations on advancing inclusive education in Uganda. Because inclusion should not be an aspiration. It should be part of how education works. Nothing About Us Without Us.

Under the BEN Program, Inclusive Education is one of our core thematic areas. Together with partners, we support children and youth with disabilities to access education, vocational and skills training, and opportunities to build their futures.

A watering can, a hoe and a handful of vegetable seeds may seem simple. But for refugee families with disabilities, they can mean food security, livelihoods and hope.

Through the inclusive livelihood project, LM international Uganda, UNAB and UNAPD provided farm tools and vegetable seeds to refugees with disabilities in Omugo zone, Rhino camp Refugee settlement. Inclusion means creating opportunities to grow, even in displacement. #Refugees

Leadership is more than a title. 👀 Think about two parents coming home. One walks through the door and the children immediately know, “let's behave.” 😂 No speech required. With the other, things might be a bit relaxed. Different styles, different ways of influencing people.

For the 27 Youth Council members in today's BEN Programme training, the conversation is about turning leadership into action. The learning should not stay in the room. It should strengthen their councils, communities and advocacy. Learn here. Lead there. 💙 #BENProgram #Youth
