Nonsense. Your logic does not compute.
We disagree with the head-in-the-sand approach advocated by @LungAssociation, which ignores the science & the urgent need to educate adults who smoke, half of whom will die prematurely of lung and other fatal illnesses if not not fully informed about issues such as relative risk.
Replying to @FDATobacco
@FDATobacco Strategic plan includes "to inform adults who smoke about the relative risks of tobacco products" (at goal 4). @LungAssociation comments: "The Lung Association strongly recommends this language be removed." Wow! lung.org/getmedia/81b16579-2…

There is ongoing misunderstanding relating to the EU's decision decades ago to ban snus before Sweden entered the union. Health concerns related to smokeless tobacco products were real, especially including non-snus products, but protecting cigarettes was an important factor.👇👇
Replying to @TahirTturk @robert3424
Sweden joined the EU in 1995, giving it access to the common market. Snus was banned when the state cigarette monopolies of Spain, Italy, Portugal & France warned it would be popular & reduce cigarette sales, as has already happened in Sweden. Health be damned. @UMTobResNetwork
