Twenty-five years after the Sept. 11 attacks, we remember those who lost their lives and the lasting impact of that day on our nation. In the months that followed, UMB established what is now the Center for Cyber, Health, and Hazard Strategies (CHHS), recognizing that preparedness, public health, emergency management, and resilience would require new forms of collaboration. Less than 24 hours before the first day of school in Baltimore, families at the Fifth Annual Back-to-School Bash received not only free supplies, but support that hopefully can carry them throughout the year. This one-of-a-kind event Oct. 19 will feature two Broadway stars who will perform your favorite classics: Norm Lewis Tony Award-nominated Broadway actor, “Phantom” in Phantom of the Opera, and “Javert” in Les Misérables Felicia Curry Helen Hayes Award-winning actor and singer, performer in Broadway’s Into the Woods, and Everyman Theatre Resident Company member The event will be cabaret-style with intimate seating at small tables.
