PM @BorisJohnson has announced today that some of the proposed changes to the rules in August will be postponed for at least a fortnight.
This is to keep the virus under control. Read his full statement here: gov.uk/government/speeches/p…
ALT Some changes planned for 1 August will be postponed. This means: Casinos, bowling alleys, skating rinks and remaining close contact services must remain closed. Indoor performances will not resume. Pilots of larger crowds in sports venues and conference centres will not take place. Wedding receptions of up to 30 people will not be permitted We will extend the requirement to wear a face covering to some other settings, including museums, cinemas, libraries and places of worship.
