Hoping to read AGM minutes soon. @theRCOT AGM held 12 weeks ago, on 25 June. Asked lots of questions and I am sure others did too. Why just asked on Facebook as assume minutes were approved at 16 July Council/Board meeting.
1/3 Last countdown to RCOT AGM 12.30 tomorrow Sent 9 questions, to be answered then or afterwards, and recorded in the AGM minutes. 3 about professional matters: * Covid / Long Covid with @JCeoltaSmith * Advanced Practice * Research and science of #OccupationalTherapy

Asking again about @theRCOT June AGM on Facebook. Interrupted post about new 2026-2029 RCOT strategy. Includes metrics - track member participation and representation, but not yet anything about organisational response to member and public queries.

Done. Don't let 'them' delete - remove you from your GP!
We're urging people to sign an open letter calling on the Government and NHS England to halt the accelerated removal of patients from GP lists until its safety and impact have been independently reviewed. Read more and sign our letter dauk.org/doctors-and-patient…

Excellent: suggestions to challenge the 'what and how' questions about the Group that's produced the PA Protocol out for stakeholder consultation. Remember, as users of the NHE we're all stakeholders, with the right to consent, or not, to be 'seen' by doctor substitutes.
7 2 panel positions NOT in plain sight Read Report title: '(their [PA]) Team Members & Employers' Pos 1 Employers: Which panel position is representing employers here? They have to be there? My guess: may be holding a lamp to light the way🤔 1of4country🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 CXX

1/2 Allied Health Professionals: transparency and patient safety @lengreview will the protocol apply to 1,000s of First Contact Practitioners and Advanced Practitioners who also assess and manage 'undifferentiated patients'?
The questions must be asked Less obfuscation, more transparency Formal ask in place Over to you @RCPhysicians As a Fellow, we should be able to comment on the protocols as suggested by @lengreview The 'era of transparency' should mean exactly that @djnicholl @mmamas1973

2/2 Allied Health Professions Federation: transparency, accountability and patient safety @lengreview Are AHPs included in the target stakeholders consultation? Will elected members representing each organisation (total 190,000) team members get a say?

More bad news from Manchester: patient safety incidents involving Physician Associates or Anaesthesia Associates from 2025. Thanks for reminder @pash22
Replying to @MFTnhs
@MFTnhs had 44 patient safety incidents involving a physician associate (PA) or anaesthesia associate (AA) in the last five years, with almost half of those occurring in the last two years, data from a freedom of information request has revealed. mancunianmatters.co.uk/news/… via @MM_newsonline & #SallyMcLennan

5/6 Acknowledges limitations and potential of 9 domain outcomes framework and minimum data set. Seems to be comprehensive measure of safety, costs, etc that could be applied to many more new workforce roles.

Scotland's shocking denial @covidinquiryuk Infection Contol & Protection recommendations. Please @UnrollThread long, excellent, essential reading explaining how Scotland, Wales and probably England are minimising / manipulating the risks of 'airborne transmission'.

Back in March 2026, Baroness Hallett published the COVID Inquiry’s Module 3 report on healthcare systems. It was extremely critical of the way respiratory transmission had been understood & managed, concluding that the UK’s approach to infection control was fundamentally flawed.

Excellent news. Thanks for update and report. Beware: a cheeky point: it's because fear #AlliedHealthProfessions have left the pandemic and Long Covid way behind. Below are questions @JCeoltaSmith and I wanted to ask at 2026 @theRCOT AGM. Good for AHP Officers too!
