Fan bus this Saturday to support our 3 XC runners that advanced to the IHSA state XC meet. Stop by the main office to pick up a permission slip. Only non-Cross Country runners need the permission slip to ride the bus. @Urbana116 @Urbana116Super
Bittersweet day. The squads held nothing back. We have three qualifiers for state and we’re .1 from a 4th (Marley Yau, Abby Fairbanks, Hudson Coady).
Proud of the fight we gave this season. #oxytocin

The G.O.A.T visited us tonight, showing love for senior night for soccer. Congrats to Jackson Gilbert on a phenomenal track and field career at the U. His new state championship signs look great!! @Urbana116Super @Urbana116 @ngpreps @UHSXC @IlliniAthletics
Hudson Coady was voted as boys athlete of the month at UHS yesterday. I’m September, he medaled in three races, won one race and brought his PR down to 16:10 (tied for UHS #19 all time).
XC has won 3/4 athletes of the month thus far. Looking forward to our October exploits!
A step in the right direction for the Tigers today.
8:17 dropped of total PR, 14:40 of season bests.
9th grader Marley Yau ran a #10 UHS AT performance to secure a medal, running 18:51.
Hudson Coady led the way in a new personal best of 16:18 for the boys!

I don't ask for donations often but if you are in the giving mood, Zach Boehmke has been the coach of the local High School and has put his personal time and money in the program to fill holes where the school budget lacked. His program invites all. No matter what color, income, or running ability, he will make sure you have an opportunity to run.

To coaches familiar with using freelap, what are some best practices that you employ to minimize error or “dropped times.” We had a great first experience with the upgrade today but want to make sure every data point is picked up. Kids hate seeing a missed time. Feel free to dm.

Urbana places second in the Class 2A 1,600 relay with a team of Abraham Lenear, Cordaro Sims, Cedric Sabin and Jackson Gilbert.
Abe Lenear, Cordaro Sims, Cedric Sabin, and Jackson Gilbert take second and run a new school record in the 4x400 (3:18.92) - that is a record that has stood since 1977! Jackson Gilbert anchored a 47.2 to nearly get the win. #DAUBEBE
The 4x2 of Abe Lenear, TJ King, Cedric Sabin, and Sorrell Darrough places 9th and are all state! #daUbebe
After the 400, Jackson came storming back to win the 200 m dash and anchor the 4x400 to a heat win. Both events advance to tomorrow
This 4x400 ended up being #4 all time UHS for Abe Lenear, Cordaro Sims, Cedric Sabin, and Jackson Gilbert #daUbebe
