In other news, this fall's first CARE meeting will be on September 19th, at 3:00pm in MBI L4-101. Dr. Nixon will discuss exciting programming updates for the coming year!
This summer, the CARE was fortunate to host 5 Summer Neuroscience Internship Program (SNIP) trainees! We congratulate them all for their hard work and successful presentation at the Department of Neuroscience Celebration of Research last week! 🥳
Congratulations to CARE trainee Sabrina Zequeira for successfully defending her dissertation last week! Sabrina will be continuing her exciting career as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Drug Abuse. Go Sabrina! 🥳

Congrats to MBI researcher Dr. Sara Jo Nixon, who was named a 2025 American Association for the Advancement of Science fellow, a top honor in the scientific community.
Nixon is the chief of addiction research @UF and the director of @UFCARE.
