🍎 WORLD TEACHERS’ DAY 2026
Today, we celebrate the teachers whose work creates value that lasts far beyond the classroom.
Every lesson taught, every learner encouraged and every life shaped contributes to stronger communities and a stronger nation. Behind every profession and every generation that moves Uganda forward is a teacher who helped make that journey possible.
As we mark World Teachers’ Day 2026 under the theme “Celebrating Teachers – Creating Lasting Value,” UNATU celebrates every teacher for their dedication, resilience and invaluable contribution to education and national development.
Today, we renew our call to:
Listen to teachers. Respect teachers. Support teachers. Invest in teachers.
To every teacher across Uganda: we see you, we hear you, and we value you.
Happy World Teachers’ Day 2026! 🇺🇬
Because We Are, The Nation Is.

Great teachers continue learning too.
Through professional development opportunities, UNATU members are supported to strengthen their skills, exchange experiences and respond to the changing needs of teaching and learning.
When teachers continue to grow professionally, learners and the wider education system benefit too.
