The motor is made up of two parts: a rotor & a stator. The rotor is composed of magnets which are attracted to a rotating magnetic field generated by the stator. Emrax 208 is a synchronous motor, rotating at the same speed as the magnetic field generated by the stator.

With testing having wrapped up last week, all eyes now are on Bahrain. The 2021 F1 season will kick of next weekend with the Bahrain GP. This year’s championship is expected to be the most competitive in years, with Red Bull mounting a legitimate challenge to Mercedes’ dominance.

When disconnected, the car cannot power the tractive system and will remain this way until the connection has been closed. The HVD is disconnected when moving the vehicle on the competition site and when taking part in static events.
