POST-ENUMERATION SURVEY DATA COLLECTION
The Bureau will be conducting the post-enumeration
survey data collection for the next 5 days across the country. We request the public to cooperate with
the team of field staff who will be visiting every
household in the sampled villages as they
collect the required information.

@UBOS_ED: The preliminary results for the previously conducted #UgandaCensus2024 indicates a total population of 45.9 million people. The Bureau is currently processing and analyzing raw census data down to the village level. Final results will be disseminated at the end of September 2024.

Remember Census was 99% funded by the Government of Uganda to a tune of 328.74 billion shillings, and the development partners contributed 1% amounting to 18.5 billion shillings. These included @UNHCRuganda, @UNDPUganda, and @UNFPAUganda.

Tier 3: ( Training of Sub-county Trainers) - Shs. 5.87 Billion this involved training at District level where the Sub-county Supervisors were trained train. #UgandaCensus2024 @StatisticsUg
Tier 4: (Training of Enumeration Supervisors and their Enumerators) - Shs. 53.01 billion. This was a Sub-county level training where Parish Supervisors and Census Enumerators were trained. #UgandaCensus2024

Good evening countrymen, this morning, I addressed the press on updates regarding payment of census enumerators which has been a repetitive complaint since the end of the enumeration excercise. #UgandaCensus2024

Finally, the district officials' payment, whose number was 1,635, was phased such that the Enumeration staff are paid first. So far, 912 (55.78%) have been paid, and 663 are to be paid in this month of August 2024 #UgandaCensus2024 @GovUganda @mofpedU @Parliament_Ug

What is clear is everyone will eventually get paid after the correction of the required details. We are working closely with officials of the local government, especially Districts & cities, to ensure that the pending field participants are all cleared. #UgandaCensus2024
