Last week, we wrote to every candidate in the upcoming byelection for Mayor of Greater Manchester. We asked if they would keep the promise made by outgoing mayor @AndyBurnham to develop and deliver a Basic Income pilot in Greater Manchester. That commitment should be honoured.

Andy Burnham said he would 'bring forward a basic income pilot' in GM before the end of his term. Well, that hasn't quite happened but we have made progress - we are asking for the next mayor's support so this becomes a reality
