Here’s what no one wants to admit about standardized testing: The kids who score high? Most of them were already wired for it. Right temperament. Right zip code. Right support. Right personality for sitting still and bubbling circles for two hours. But the kids who struggle? That’s where teachers do the REAL work. Teachers are the ones who take a child who panics, freezes, reads slowly, or processes differently — and still help them learn, grow, and succeed. Teachers don’t measure potential. They unlock it. Tests don’t change kids. Teachers do. Teachers facilitate learning, not testing.
