I did give up on progressive web apps (reluctantly), primarily because of Apple sabotage. Currently, I use TypeScript with a cross-platform framework to build native apps. I feel better now...

They have poured their life into mastering a language, which makes them the "guru" at work. Anyone proposing a different language is a threat to their livelihood. The same goes for frameworks.

Thanks, @realamlug. You are correct. Use of a GC is far superior to reference counting for a language like JavaScript.

Statically compiled TypeScript. e.g., PerryTS. I want to share code between browser and server (e.g., zod), so they need to be the same language.

Nice work on NativeScript 9.1, @wwwalkerrun! The release notes for 9.1 imply that, at some point, support for Windows will be added. True? If so, I hope you only support the modern WinUI framework with its Fluent design.
