I don't care about being a "bad fan," and neither do the majority of people. They will be interested when the team they like plays meaningful games.
Replying to @Tyler__Duke
They already had a reason dipshit it was THEIR TEAM. If you weren’t watching your team in the cheez it bowl you are a bad fan
I couldn't tell you a single thing about this game and neither could 90% of regular CFB fans. The CFP cares about keeping the attention of casual CFB fans who want their program to play meaningful games more often, not diehards who will watch anyway.
It does not rock when 95% of programs' seasons are over in October.
Just thinking about how crazy it is that College Football keeps eliminating your room for error
The best programs get chance after chance after chance to make the Playoff now. Losses don’t mean as much. The rivalry showdown meaning your season is made or dead continues to drown…
It’s just sad
We used to watch these gladiators need to be near perfect week in and week out just to have a chance at the crown. That rocked

24-team @CFBPlayoff reax:
--It enhances conference races. Sure, a team can clinch in mid-November but the days of Michigan-Ohio State being for the Big 10 title were damn exciting. That last happened 20 years ago. Those days return.
--A 24-team field lessens the influence of the selection committee. Boiling it down to simplest element -- if you're ranked, you're in. (With exceptions, of course) The committee is essentially left to seed.
--More on-campus playoff games. Yes, please.
--There will be 50 teams (at least) in competition for the CFP each Nov. 1. That will drive interest, ratings and attendance.
--The regular-season won't be impacted negatively. We've been hearing that refrain since the BCS. Texas-Oklahoma, Michigan-Ohio State, Auburn-Alabama, are still/will still be huge. So will Alabama-Georgia, BYU-Utah, Alabama-Tennessee, Notre Dame-Miami. Think of the interest at Duke, Arizona, Oklahoma State, Minnesota right now if a 24-team field existed.
--To that point, the requirement for each of the P4 to play 10 P4 games will mean MORE of those types of games. The system now can support 9-3, even 8-4 teams. That's the reason SEC coaches reluctantly added a ninth conference game. This is their vision to (further) dominate the bracket realized.
--The SEC and Big Ten will probably continue to get 75% of the field in some years (18 total). That's sort of the case now.
--I think we all agree there are too many bowls. Bowl season will survive. A 24-team playoff will no doubt cull the herd. But what would you rather see, the Pop Tarts Bowl or the same matchup in a first-round game in the CFP with a national title at stake?
--What's wrong with the odds doubling of say, Western Kentucky, hanging a "College Football Playoff first-round" banner in its practice facility? That's a good thing.

“Rivalry week is dead”
Last year Nebraska would be playing to keep Iowa out of the playoff
Texas and Texas A&M would be playing for a bye
Georgia would be playing for a bye and Georgia Tech would be playing for a playoff spot
Ole Miss would have been playing Mississippi St for a bye
(Not a rivalry), but Utah is playing Kansas for home-field advantage
Arizona @ Arizona St. Winner gets in
Ohio St playing for a bye. Michigan playing for home-field advantage
Oregon playing for a bye. Washington playing for a playoff spot
LSU playing for a playoff spot. Oklahoma playing for home-field advantage
Auburn trying to spoil Alabama’s home-field advantage
BYU playing UCF for an outside shot at a bye
Miami playing Pitt for home-field advantage. Pitt playing to make the playoff
Vandy playing Tennessee for home-field. Tennessee playing to guarantee a spot in
UCLA playing to knock USC out
Virginia Tech playing to knock Virginia out
6-5 Cal would have knocked 8-3 SMU out with their win
Kentucky playing to kill Louisville’s outside shot at getting in
Baylor trying to keep Houston out

You’re the problem. Who cares about the elites? Arizona, Arizona St, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Boston College, BYU, Cal, Cincy, Colorado, Duke, Florida, Florida St, Georgia Tech, Houston, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa St, Kansas, Kansas St, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Michigan St, Minnesota, Mississippi St, Missouri, NC State, Nebraska, UNC, Northwestern, Oklahoma St, Ole Miss, Penn St, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, SMU, South Carolina, Stanford, Syracuse, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UCF, UCLA, USC, Utah, Vandy, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and the entire G6 just gained a more exciting end of season goal to play for that makes late season games more exciting for them after you greedy bastards ruined bowls and conference titles
Everyone is missing the point. Nobody is showing up to watch their program fight for 6-8 wins every year and play in a stupid bowl game anymore.
CFP realizes that and now keeps hope alive for the majority of its consumers. UGA/Bama/OSU/Texas fans will be locked in regardless.
I hate the fair-weather argument. Adults don't have to be loyal to a sports team when they suck. It's great when they are and I sure have been with the Hawks, but most sane people will find something better to do with their time. Switching teams every year is different.
He had one bad session lol
Still gaining strokes on the field and has been the 6th best U.S. player through 3 sessions. Acting as if he’s been embarrassingly bad out there or actually deserved to sit is crazy.
It's become way too popular to discredit Game of Thrones just because the final season wasn't the best. It should still easily be top 3 on this list. In no world is Succession better.
Had Jalen Johnson putting up triple doubles with him last year and the team was worse when he played.
Also, pretty hilarious to say you need someone else to be doubled to be successful as a supposed #1.

Don't know how you can't like Ben Shelton after a speech like that after the enormous letdown of the moment. He'll be back and win this.
