I'd like to thank Peter Sagal, @jodyssanders, and my English teacher mother 😄
For any lawyers or law students in the #Waco area, tomorrow the Tenth Court of Appeals will hold a "Coffee with the Court." Stop by for coffee, pastries, and a chance to hobnob with the justices.
Thanks to @TexAppOrg for all the help planning!

Thanks to the fine folks at CSBA (@Dan_CourtSurety) for the raffle at Civil Appellate this year. Even before this, they were my first call on appellate bond issues.

I got my copy in the mail today from Bill himself! Looking forward to diving in.
What happens when you mix the wisdom of a historian with the mind of a lawyer & the storytelling prowess of an author? You get "Dr. Bill Chriss," whose new book peels back the layers of Texas’ identity, helping the world understand what makes #Texans tick. bit.ly/3Qpdq8T

Watching #GoldCup with kids. "Why does the Guadeloupe team have a France flag?" In hindsight, the 30-minute answer probably didn't need to hit the Treaty of Tordesillas or the difficulty of navigating the Drake Passage.
Loving the breezy phrasing and use of contractions in a #SCOTX dissent today.

Thursday and Friday are WFAA Weather Alert Days for the potential of accumulating snow. Flurries start as early as Wed night with snow accumulations beginning Thursday. It'll dry out from west to east Friday morning, but travel impacts will likely last through Friday #wfaaweather
I'm giving a Supreme Court Update this evening. And because (I've heard from others) the topics can feel distant and highfalutin, I'm opening with some entertaining exchanges during OA. This one may be my favorite.
