Today we're launching Monumint! Monumint is conversational AI for financial services. Our agents work across voice, SMS, and email to help banks, credit unions, and lenders reach customers at scale. In the US, people spend 10 billion minutes a year on the phone with their bank. Despite that, as a consumer it feels like there's a mile wide communication barrier anytime you want to get something done. And on the flip side, financial institutions have more data than ever and still struggle to reach customers with the right message at the right time. That’s the gap we’re working to close. We’ve now handled more than 5 million customer interactions for financial institutions, and the growth we’ve seen over the last 10 months has been incredible. Building a startup is never a straightforward journey. Where we are today is very different from where we started in YC. We had to say goodbye to great customers, make hard calls, and rebuild a lot of our assumptions from the ground up. Huge thank you to the team, our customers, and the investors who stuck with us along the way. Excited to finally share Monumint with the world.

the frontier is jagged because it's defined by enterprise saas the spikes are all areas where there is obvious money (coding, support, legal, etc.) troughs are areas with less obvious money. i.e. character ai building ai friends. likely to remain this way

Is there any way to disable the waymo preflight safety video? It's like 3 minutes long and is a pretty big step back from the original experience

I'll believe AGI is here when anthropic discovers a way to update an email address without deleting your account

the real moat was the friends we made along the way

I had this same feeling the other day building something that plugged into a gmail api. The api was like 100k req/second and free for the first 10m a week or something insane. Pretty much too cheap to meter on Google's side. LLMs will go the same way.
Prediction: In two years AI will cost $25/month for unlimited compute and web search. 💚

ok Opus 5.5 might really be AGI this was 2 prompts and ~45 minutes of cooking. I gave it zero assets. it just scraped our website for all the images. only thing it needed was a TTS api key for the narration

> System One tasks, our specialty starting now > I don't get it > Of course you don't > Am I too old? > Of course you are > How is this profitable? > It isn't profitable, wrong idea

tried using jev to flag browser agents this weekend. it runs through the activity logs live every 3 seconds and builds an average score over the session sure you could do this without jev, but also it took a few hours and cost less than $0.01 per session

Ok but what are the realistic p(doom) scenarios? Dario says bio weapons a lot. Obviously there's mass phishing attempts / election interference, but we have that today. Has anyone actually named the tangible threat vectors an LLM could supposedly carry out today?
