The true light of humanity shines brighter than any amount of money
When the Titanic sank, it carried millionaire John Jacob Astor IV. The money in his bank account was enough to build 30 Titanics. However, faced with mortal danger, he chose what he deemed morally right and gave up his spot in a lifeboat to save two frightened children.
Millionaire Isidor Straus, co-owner of the largest American chain of department stores, "Macy's," who was also on the Titanic, said:
"I will never enter a lifeboat before other men."
His wife, Ida Straus, also refused to board the lifeboat, giving her spot to her newly appointed maid, Ellen Bird. She decided to spend her last moments of life with her husband.
These wealthy individuals preferred to part with their wealth, and even their lives, rather than compromise their moral principles. Their choice in favor of moral values highlighted the brilliance of human civilization and human nature.

Charlie Kirk was truly one of a kind. A kind, loving, and courageous soul who lived what he preached. His view that our political, social, and spiritual differences should be debated freely and respectfully was something he put into practice every day — a living embodiment of the vision our founders had for our country.
The person who shot Charlie Kirk sought to silence him, using violence to take away his freedom of speech by ending his life and to terrorize those who think like Charlie into silence. This evil act is the very definition of terrorism: an unlawful use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political or "religious" aims.
Today, on the anniversary of 9/11, we recognize that whether it's Islamists like al-Qaeda, or the fanatics who try to stop Charlie Kirk and others from speaking the truth by banning them from campuses and ultimately by assassination, the one thing they have in common is that they are so afraid that their arguments, views, and policies will not stand when challenged in free and open debate, that they resort to violence — not only to silence the people they want to shut up but to terrorize everyone else into silence.
Charlie Kirk stood up to such fanatics who hate freedom and want to silence any who dare to challenge the so-called "liberal" establishment. This assassin killed him to prevent his voice from being heard, prevent him from inspiring others, as he did every day, and to terrorize and intimidate the American people into silence.
I was sickened, but not surprised, when I saw the propaganda media like MSNBC react by encouraging and justifying this evil. Within minutes of the shooting, they said, Charlie "brought it upon himself.” They said the very same thing about President Donald Trump after both assassination attempts on his life. And the Islamists who attacked us on 9/11 also make the same argument—i.e. that 'the American people deserved the attack.' What they're really telling us is: shut up, be quiet, or face the consequences.
We cannot allow their darkness and evil to perpetuate. Charlie truly loved our country and dedicated his life to protecting our God-given rights. We must honor his life's work, and the promise of America, by continuing to lift our own voices and defend our God-given freedoms enshrined in our Constitution.
I'm devastated that Erika lost her husband today, their children lost their father, and so many of us lost a dear friend. Our nation lost one of our greatest champions of freedom. I pray Charlie is now able to rest in the warm embrace of God's love. He will be dearly missed.

There are no words for such a horror …
The so-called “authorities” who knew this was happening need to go to prison for life.
Eight Cousins raped a twelve year old white girl 15 times in one night!
Let that sink in! It happened and is still happening and all on our watch! Clearly that’s all we do, watch and say and do nothing !
They included two who assaulted her after picking her up outside a police station, where she had gone to report an earlier sex assault – only to be dismissed as a time-waster by a desk clerk.
It sparked a devastating chain of events in which she suffered more than 20 sex attacks by eight men that night in October 2006, including 15 rapes
Only one of them was ever prosecuted Shakil Chowdhury

In November 1941 the richest man in America drove his twenty-three-year-old daughter to a hospital in Washington without telling her mother, had two surgeons drill holes in her skull and cut into the front of her brain while she sang God Bless America to them, and when the singing stopped she had a mental age of two and the family did not speak her name for twenty years.
Rosemary Kennedy was the third child and the first girl, and she was slow. A nurse at the birth had held Rose Kennedy's legs together for two hours while they waited for the doctor, and the baby had been starved of air. She learned to read and write, but late, and in a family where the boys were being bred for the presidency and the girls for the right marriage, she was the one who could not keep up, the one who had to be coached and watched and given the simpler part in the photograph. She was also, by every account, the prettiest of them, and when the family went to London in 1938 she was presented at court in a white dress and curtsied to the King without a mistake.
Then she was twenty-one, and the trouble started. Moods. Rages. Slipping out of the convent school at night and coming back in the morning and not saying where. The nuns said she might be meeting men. For Joseph Kennedy, who was managing his sons towards the White House and could not have a daughter who might get pregnant or get talked about, that was the end of it. He had read about a new operation. Walter Freeman had promised the newspapers it calmed the agitated, and Joe Kennedy had never in his life been told that a thing he could pay for would not work.
Rosemary was given a mild sedative and kept awake. Freeman and his surgeon, James Watts, opened the skull on both sides and Watts pushed a blade into the frontal lobes and swept, while Freeman asked her to recite the Lord's Prayer and sing, and count backwards, so they would know how far to go. They went until she was incoherent. Then they stopped.
She came out of it unable to walk or speak. Years of therapy got her a few words and a limp. Joe moved her to a private hospital in New York and then to a convent school in Wisconsin, told the family she was teaching the retarded in the Midwest, and never went to see her. Rose, her mother, was not told what had been done until long after, and did not visit for twenty years. The brothers and sisters, including the one who became President, were told she was away. When Joe had his stroke in 1961 and could no longer manage the story, Eunice went to Wisconsin and found a woman of forty-three who did not know her, and came home and started the Special Olympics.
Rosemary lived to eighty-six, in the convent, and died in 2005 with her surviving sisters at the bed. The brother who became President had signed the first federal mental health law in 1963, and the family has said she was the reason.
Freeman kept operating for another twenty-six years. His notes on Rosemary have never been released.
That is what the expert's confidence looks like when it meets a powerful man with an inconvenient child. The science was published. The father was certain. The daughter sang to the surgeon until she could not.
Every institution that has ever decided it knows what is wrong with you and how to tidy it has the same two ingredients in the room, and the person on the table is still the only one who pays.

Truly absurd. Judges as website editors!?
We should at least ATTEMPT to fire this junky jurist.
The notion of having a judge job for life, no matter how bad the judgments, is ridiculous!
Enough is enough.

🚨 BREAKING: The White House just told middle-class Americans exactly where their paychecks have been going, and it's infuriating.
From the podium: "If you're a middle class taxpayer in this country, before President Trump came along, you spent half your working life paying for fraudsters and scammers."
Think about that. You paid every parking ticket and did everything the right way. Meanwhile, fake day cares billed for kids who didn't exist, and the crooks bought Mercedes, BMWs and mansions on your dime.
The administration says it's already recovered a quarter of a trillion dollars and is aiming for a trillion.
The looting is over. Time to take it all back.

The plane crash that killed John Denver.
On October 12, 1997, John Denver took off from the airport in Monterey, California, piloting an experimental Long-EZ he had just purchased and in which he had logged only a couple of hours of flight time.
He was a pilot with nearly 2,750 hours of experience, but that aircraft had a critical modification, the fuel selector, which was supposed to be between the pilot’s legs, had been relocated behind his left shoulder, with no markings to indicate the positions.
Minutes after takeoff, the engine began to sputter due to a lack of fuel. To switch tanks, Denver had to release the controls and turn his body almost completely backward, in a maneuver that the subsequent investigation deemed virtually impossible to perform in mid-flight.
The plane lost control near Pacific Grove, pitched up, veered sharply, and crashed into the Pacific Ocean. Denver died instantly at the age of 53, bringing to a close the life of the man behind some of the most iconic songs in country music history.

Since your handle is “Whole Mars”, perhaps this lengthy reply is apropos:
Getting the cost per ton to the surface of Mars low enough that humanity has the resources to make life multiplanetary requires a roughly 1000X improvement in rocket & spacecraft technology.
Recent US Mars missions have had a cost per ton of useful load to the surface of Mars of about $1B. Moreover, it has become more, not less, expensive over time!
To build a city on Mars that can grow by itself likely requires at least a million tons of equipment, which would therefore require >$1000 trillion, an obviously impossible number, given that US GDP is only $29T.
However, if rocket technology can be improved by 1000X, then the cost of becoming sustainably multiplanetary would drop to ~$1T, which could be spread out over 40 or more years, so <$25B/year.
At that cost, it becomes possible to make life multiplanetary, ensuring the long-term survival of life as we know it, without materially affecting people’s standard of living on Earth.
Starship is designed to achieve a >1000X improvement over existing systems and, especially after yesterday’s booster catch and precise ocean landing of the ship, I am now convinced that it can work.

An Atlanta judge let a man WALK OUT OF JAIL EARLY for BEATING a woman's face so badly, he SHATTERED HER ORBITAL BONE on a public train...
...TWO MONTHS AFTER HIS RELEASE, HE ST*BS A WOMAN TO DE*TH ON WALKING PATH!!!
HE GOES ON TO ASSAULT A POSTAL WORKER WITH A ROCK BEFORE HE IS CAUGHT BY POLICE...
In January, Jahmare Brown got on top of and beat a female attorney as she stepped off a MARTA train to go to work in Atlanta... he broke her NOSE and then shattered her ORBITAL BONE.
She needed 25 STITCHES.
...MARTA Police charged it as a MISDEMEANOR!!!
The incident report DIDN'T EVEN MENTION THE BROKEN BONES.
Brown was sentenced to 120 days... but he was released early, and only served 60.
He was out in MARCH!!!!!
Two months later, he beat a postal worker with a ROCK and st*bbed Alyssa Paige to de*th at noon on the Atlanta Beltline.
If Brown had served the full 120 days the court gave him, he would have STILL BEEN IN JAIL the day he k*lled her.
Alyssa Paige would be alive.

This is one of the most famous paintings in the world, yet few people know the story of the woman holding the parasol…
It was painted by Claude Monet in 1875, and she was his wife, Camille, out for a walk with their young son Jean near their home in Argenteuil, just outside Paris. Monet painted them outdoors on a windy day, from below, so that Camille stands against the sky, her veil and dress caught by the wind, looking down at us as if we had just called her name.
It feels less like a moment a husband didn’t want to forget.
Four years later, Camille was gone. After a long illness, she died in September 1879, at just 32. Five days before the end, a priest blessed the marriage she and Monet had made in a simple civil ceremony nine years earlier. And there, at her bedside, the artist did the only thing he knew how to do: he painted her one last time. Years later, he confessed that even then, sitting beside her, he caught himself studying the colors that death was leaving on her face, a moment he never managed to forget.
By then, she had appeared in some fifty of his paintings: in a green silk dress at nineteen, standing at a window, walking through the poppies with their little boy. Without ever meaning to, he had painted the story of her whole life with him.
Monet lived almost fifty more years, but on this canvas it will always be that summer afternoon, with Camille turning to look at him in the wind…

🚨DEAR GOD!!!
A migrant from Ghana HUNTED women on the streets of Oklahoma City.
He attacked one. They let him go.
He attacked another. They let him go AGAIN.
Then he tried to R*PE a third woman in BROAD DAYLIGHT, and FIREFIGHTERS tackled him off of her.
He's been arrested 20+ TIMES...
On August 1st, police say he pushed a woman up against a bus stop window and shoved his hands down her pants.
That same day, another woman says he crept up BEHIND her on the sidewalk, yanked her pants down, and ran when she fought him off.
Se*ual battery. Indecent exposure. Arrested.
...and released.
On August 6th, near Scissortail Park, police say he walked up behind ANOTHER woman and grabbed her body over and over, then started digging in his pants. Arrested again.
...and released, again.
On August 12th on a walking trail, police say he came up BEHIND a woman jogging, pulled her to the ground, and tried to R*PE her right there in the open, in broad daylight.
He almost did it. You know who stopped him? Not a judge. Not a bond. FIREFIGHTERS. They were there, they saw it, they pulled him off her and called police.
If those firefighters had been anywhere else that day... that woman gets r*ped on a public trail in the middle of the afternoon.
Every single time, he attacked from behind. Every single time, he hunted a woman alone...and TWO separate times, our justice system caught him... and let him walk right back out to do it again.
He has 20+ arrests since 2022...
