The Mississippi House has passed a bill that would exclude athletes' NIL earnings from the state's income tax.
Arkansas passed a bill in 2025 to exempt NIL money from income taxes. Florida, Texas & Tennessee are other states with SEC schools that have no income tax.

Whether it's shown publicly or learned by word of mouth, the conservative grassroots HATE dissension between our favorite State Reps. We love each one for different reasons... for bold stances, for keeping us in the loop, for the strength they show, their creative solutions, their brilliant minds, their years of dedication, or any number of other reasons. We love you in spite of your faults. Faults? Yes, we see those too! You don't have to point out who has an ego, who isn't good at this or that, or who is ticking you off. We move past those faults just like we move past the fault of pointing them out (publicly or privately, we hear about it). It only comes across as jealousy, which is not attractive; it lowers morale across the board; it causes disunity among all. Please think twice before indulging in a hit job against any of our cherished State Reps. There's no benefit to it.
