Tranche Staking is LIVE! What is this all about? 👇 (Get a Monster, this is long) In 2021, I launched rev share on Solana. Specifically from royalties on secondary sales of our @mmccsolana nfts. At the time, it was a revolution. No one had ever paid you for holding an NFT. Caught in the excitement of that revolution was people getting paid pretty big $$ each week. I originally envisioned these payments as something that would contribute to building the community. The idea was: "What can a community do with millions of dollars instead the founders?" Well, as hindsight would have it, the answer was: the community can take those millions and go try to flip them on other projects. haha. That was fine and fun and all, but I always wondered if we could have done things different to keep that money in our ecosystem and benefit the believers a bit more. One day a couple years ago, the answer hit me and it was kinda obvious. Tokens do this at TGE all the time! Cliffs, Vesting, etc.. We need a way that when money comes into our community, we can incentivize it to be aligned with the most dedicated holders. The big question was how? Also, how do I build this? I worked through a bunch of math models at the time to see what might fit the goal. With actually a ton of help from @cryptorrivem, we came up with a curved distribution model that highly incentivizes people who commit to the project. It also penalizes people who just try to flip a volume move or something. Enter: Tranche Staking The way this works is that every month, we will open a tranche that people can stake into. This month will be the October 2026 Tranche. Every first monday of the next month, these tranches close. Once you are in a closed tranche, you begin to accumulate rewards from that tranche that you can claim or let accumulate. The longer you stay till the end of the tranche, the more you make. IF YOU LEAVE (unstake) from a tranche, you forfeit all remaining unvested funds and they get split among the other stakers in that tranche. Diamond hands rewarded. As you keep staked through the year, you continue to accumulate more and more tranches in your portfolio that are paying you out and incentivizing you to stay staked. All tranches fully mature and finish paying out in 12 months. I believe this to be one of the best ways to fix a mis-incentive on the revshare model. We are going to build on this foundation moving forward with @mmccsolana. All revenue we begin to generate, all royalties, anything that would benefit a staker, will work out into our system of tranches for stakers. This will begin to align incentives and I believe it will begin to fix a broken system of rev share that plagues almost any project that tries to hand out funds in a way like we used to. I'm excited for the things ahead we have getting built on this foundation. I believe it will better unite our community and make a case for new people to join! I’m beyond shocked that today is 5 years since we opened up the @mmccsolana presale to a rag-tag group of solana newbs believing that a new idea (utility) might work for nfts. it wasn’t fast. it wasn’t easy. it took multiple days to sell out and some help from @LilMoonLambo @fxnction and @SOLBigBrain as well as some others to get the word out what followed was insanity. i’m biased, but almost everything financial/ponzi/gamble that came about on solana started with @mmccsolana we paid out almost $3mil in the first few days of mint, all built on an almost identical utility that everyone is going crazy for on coins today. early doesn’t even begin to explain what we were. our official anniversary of our main mint is coming on 10/1. i’ll try to put together my ideas more then. ❤️
