He'd been working on his music so he didn't notice her sneak up on him until she pounced. He jumped a little with a gasp. "Oh! Flannery, hey," he said, relaxing when he saw it was her, "What is it?"

"The sun's up already? Hm... happy pokemon day then."

"Sugar can take the edge off too, least enough," he sighed, popping the top of his own bottle and taking a swig. Marnie probably stocked the cooler this time. Probably for the best. "Anyway, hope things work out for ya. Enough of this world's a mess anyhow."

Piers checked the bottle again. Oh. "Tis root beer pop, you'll be fine," he said, wiggling the bottle a bit, "Come on, take it, it's dripping everywhere."

By the huge dent in the wall it seemed like a pretty bad day. So Piers went over to his cooler, pulled out two bottle of beer and casually passed one to the other. "Here, it'll take the sting off at least."

"... Bad day?"
