Real documents. Real voices. Powerful theatre✊
At our latest IRISH HERE HEARD session, participants explored bundles and newspaper scrapbooks from our legal challenge, using them to develop our storytelling.
Our history is becoming theatre. 💚

For those who’ve been following my quest to help #SaveSquareChapelArts in Halifax, I haven’t stopped…it’s just that me & my fellow collaborators are presently in a waiting game to see if we’ve made the cut to take our interest to the next stage.
Fingers crossed & stay tuned! 🙏🏻

Ancient traditions. Powerful stories. 🎭🔥
This week at IRISH HERE HEARD: our youth group explored Samhain’s links to Halloween, while adults brought Margaret Keane’s story to life through physical theatre. 💚

Hi @marksandspencer
Great offer with my Sparks card today!
An Advent calendar of fab beauty products.
But what does "sizzed" mean? A bit of a typo for such a big company? Or is there a free Advent calendar for first to notice the mistake? Posted as can't message you on here.

I asked some friends of mine to do a few lines of my poem ‘Ode To Square Chapel’ in support of my quest to help #SaveSquareChapelArts in Halifax.
Without hesitation… they all chipped in. 🙌
It’s what friends are for.
Please re-post if you enjoy! x
Please support this important campaign: megaphone.org.uk/petitions/s…

What they tried to deny became something we chose to build.
Our fight to have Irish words on Mum’s gravestone was about more than an inscription. It was about identity, belonging and the right to be recognised.
That experience shaped Irish. Here. Heard.
We are Irish. We are here

I’m going for a viewing at #SquareChapelArtsCentre Halifax tomorrow, to see what state it’s in after it fell into darkness.
Even if I’m unable to save it (& I’d dearly love to) let’s hope there’s some kindly, art-loving benefactor out there who cares enough about it to do so! 🙏🏻

Can any of you good burghers of Calderdale help with this? 🙏🏻
And a retweet would help from all of you. 🙂
Let’s keep the magnificent #SquareChapelArts for exactly what it says on the tin… the Arts!
Thank you. 🙌
