Does pH affect take-all root rot severity? YES. All the plots exhibiting TARR symptoms have a pH of 7.3 to 7.43. All other plots the pH is below 6. Not sure of the exact reason for this, so more to come!

It's probably snack time when the growth cessation structures peppering the roots of bermudagrass bring to mind cacio e pepe. Several fungi associated with #BermudagrassDecline produce these structures on roots, stolons and rhizomes.@PhillipVines @TurfManCam @maria_turfdr #MSUext

Editor's Pick! @TurfManCam et al. determined the in vitro sensitivity of TARR pathogens to several fungicides and developed a bioassay to determine the influence of organic matter on fungicide bioavailability.

ALT Relative mycelial growth of A, Gaeumannomyces graminis (Gg), B, Gaeumannomyces graminicola (Ggram), C, Candidacolonium cynodontis (Cc), and D, Magnaporthiopsis cynodontis (Mc) on fungicide-amended media. Two isolates of each pathogen were evaluated in the assay, including three replications and two runs. Mean relative mycelial growth values within each panel followed by the same letter are not statistically different according to Fisher's protected least significant difference test at P < 0.05.
