At Morgan Wallen's bar in Nashville today, an old guy, probably in his 80s, sat down next to me dressed in full cowboy attire. He orders two shots of tequila and a water, downs one of the shots, and we start chatting. He's in town because he's moving 5,500 head of cattle from his ranch in Texas to his ranch in Kentucky. Read that again. 5,500 head of cattle. He explained that it takes more acreage to feed his herd in Texas than it does in Kentucky, so he's moving things around. As I'm sitting there doing the math, I'm realizing this guy might be the wealthiest person I've ever met in my life. So I asked him how he got into ranching. He tells me, "I'm not a rancher." Apparently, the cattle are nothing more than a hobby. Then he casually tells me that he actually owns a construction company that builds hotels all over the world. Just a crazy day on Broadway which is why I love coming here.

Maybe this only happened to me but every email I've received since yesterday in Gmail was automatically marked "important" with a blue tab. To fix it, go to the gear box and select all settings. From there go to Inbox and select Importance Markers and then select No Markers

I'm taking a single Masters class to see if I want to go through the full program. My professor just graded my first 4 assignments and gave me a 80% on each one because it's not "APA" formatted. Whatever the f that is. That has to be a made up term since I graduated in the 90s

Relatable

In a couple days, I'm going to be back at my home in Florida. I'm very excited to see my 101 year old friend Georges. He is a WWII veteran from FRANCE. I bet there aren't many of those guys left in the world, much less in the United States. His life story is absolutely amazing. His appreciation for American soldiers would make you tear up. He went through pure hell at a young age. He and I became friends very quickly and we text often. His wife died a couple years ago and he's very open about being lonely. He never had any children. His mind is still incredibly sharp and we are able to easily chat about a wide range of topics. He taught chemistry at a university in Virginia while also working for the Dow Chemical Company as a researcher. He's got incredible stories that I truly enjoy listening to. We're going to take him out for a nice meal and I'm sure there will be a few mornings where I'll pick him up and we'll go to Starbucks. The one thing we haven't done yet is grab a photo together. I need to do that so that when the inevitable happens, I'll have a lasting memory of my good friend.

If Caleb Williams stays in that game the Bears win. The Vikings offense is pretty abysmal right now but I’ll happily take 2-0 and first place in the division.
