Two years ago today, Deng Chol Majek took a screwdriver and plunged it into the face of a hotel worker, Rhiannon Whyte, 19 times. He penetrated her skull 11 times. She died three days later.
Majek, an illegal migrant from Sudan, then bought beer and was recorded dancing. He is the face of evil.

Mohamed Mohamoud, 22, a Somali national living in Bristol, flew to Somalia to join Islamic State. He used an AI chatbot to contact their recruiters and said he was "longing for martyrdom". Unable to get through, he returned to the UK still planning to go back. The case was built from his messages, phone and travel records.
He was convicted and sentenced at the Old Bailey to 12 years in prison with an extra 4 on licence.
Most of this work never makes the news. This time it did. Well done, all.

At least two of the women were punched in the face in Hackney, northeast London.
British police have arrested a 33-year-old man and are investigating the attacks as a suspected antisemitic hate crime.
Jewish women are being attacked in broad daylight on the streets of London.

EXCL: The creator of the ‘Palestine poppy’ is an Oxford-educated paediatrician who has written books for Muslim teenagers justifying stoning and warning that homosexuality is ‘a test from Allah’.
The Spectator can now reveal that Abdul Qader Ismail is an active member of Greens for Palestine and co-sponsored the group’s ‘Zionism is Racism’ policy. He is also the author of a book series titled An Introduction to Challenging Topics for Muslim Teens. The books provide justifications (within specific conditions) for stoning, crucification, cutting off hands and female genital mutilation.
Ismail describes same-sex attraction as a ‘test from Allah’ and says homosexual relationships are wrong. He writes: ‘Even if we have homosexual feelings, we would not be able to act upon them without displeasing Allah… Having homosexual feelings is not a sin, and if we pray to Allah to help us and we do not act upon our feelings, Allah will be pleased with us.’
