I feel like for vtuber fans it'd be tiring to see the same old recycled complaints of "there's SO many mean girl vtubers!" (no names mentioned), or other such "x problem exists in the vtuber community". I mean in the first place, people only seem to mention a 'vtuber community' when it's used to reprimand someone's actions.
Generally speaking, your fans are here for you. I think it's better to focus on positivity when possible, and also better to focus on yourself rather than what other people who happen to be vtubers are doing with their time, energy, money, community, etc. This is especially true when their decisions involve something that's a personal creative choice as opposed to anything illegal. At the end of the day, people follow them because they're them and you because you're you. There shouldn't be such a strict "this way is wrong and my way is right!" mentality. That's a pretty narrow minded and childish mindset, isn't it? That's how I feel seeing it time and time again.
Just some thoughts on this stuff I guess. Just try to be considerate and compassionate towards other content creators, especially if you want others to treat you with similar respect when you're going through things yourself. Sticking your nose into every drama and looking down on others for being different than you will only cause undue stress to your fans by dragging them into it and also probably make people think less of you for your behavior. It's important to consider how your words will be perceived as a public figure as often getting involved into drama needlessly will come off as either bitterness/jealousy or senseless cruelty.
I assume many of us in the vtuber space, both fans and creators alike, have been bullied before. There's no need to become a bully yourself by jumping to abrasively assert your opinion in every matter involving other vtubers.
This is, of course, just my advice. You're absolutely free to disagree with it or ignore it! I wish everyone well. π

My opinion is that the VTubing scene could have far more high quality backend staff. But only if corpos were willing to pay salaries proportionate to the hours and skills required to be a manager.
I think that corpo work is still the best way to get genuine work experience in the field, but it comes at a real cost.
There's a world where the pathway looks like:
- get skills from other jobs
- join corpo as a manager
- have decent starting pay and a structure for career progression
- corpo upskills you to improve your existing skills, and grants exposure to new types of work to broaden capabilities
I know of too many cases where managers were and sometime still are working 60+ hour weeks for like $25k/yr. That's about $8/hr, it's no wonder most of us realise indie management is the only way forward on a career progression level.
Management is a huge, multifaceted role with many specialisations. Other industries worked this kind of thing out ages ago. All of the above can be applied to any backend role also.
I hope that Western company leadership figures take notice of that actively and understand it. Getting and retaining good staff, that remains loyal and can be developed internally, will only come from good compensation packages - and also development structures that don't roadblock staff from progression in their careers.
