On Tuesday 3 August, we're going LIVE on Instagram with Dr Anita Mitra (@GynaeGeek) and Prof Siobhan Quenby (@s_quenby)!
They'll be discussing our #MiscarriageMatters research, and what needs to be done to help those with conditions which can increase the risk of miscarriage.
It's #FathersDay2021...it's a quiet and reflective day in our house. Mens experiences of miscarriage can often go unheard. Not on this podcast: tryingagain.podbean.com/e/me… #dads #miscarriage

This means that @_OliviaBlake MP will be raising the findings of our research with the UK health minister, Nadine Dorries. The debate will be streamed on BBC Parliament and will last around 30 minutes, taking place some time between 2pm and 6pm.

At 20 weeks pregnant with her twins, Sharon was told that her cervix was 2cm dilated, and was kept in hospital to be monitored. Sadly, she lost both her daughter, Rayna, when she was born at 22 weeks, and her son, Hakeem, at 23 weeks. Sharon’s story: bit.ly/2SdmPFL

Around 50% of miscarriages are due to chromosomal issues. But in the other 50%, this isn't the case - so something else must be going on.
@arricoomarasamy and his team are trying to find out why these miscarriages happen, and working to prevent them: bit.ly/3wghBqZ

As part of our campaign to #ChangeTheMiscarriageStory we’re calling for a graded model of care to be introduced throughout the UK. This standardised approach would put an end to the current postcode lottery and get parents support sooner. See our graphics for more info.
