Yaps AI is like the beautiful cross-platform baby that @huggingface always wanted 😅
We're live! Please show some love for my @ProductHunt launch! I was meant to do this a while back but the perfectionist in me held off. If you could take out the time to vote, comment, and share I would really appreciate it! You can find the link in the comments below.

I can't believe I finally get to share this, but we've just launched Yaps 2.0 - the private, powerful AI toolkit. This is the easiest way to use on-device AI - period! Everything is 100x smoother, faster, and more reliable. Over the last month we've been so focussed on integrations, working with partners, and serving around 1,000 paying customers, that I didn't get time to really revisit the branding as a whole. We've officially rebranded and improved our website and desktop application, with more enhancements coming to mobile soon! If you're looking to use AI to enhance your productivity, without compromising your privacy, this is by far the best tool in the market! 🫡 Let me know what you think! --- Dictated with @TryYaps

We've been shipping regular updates to ensure we have the most stable local AI tool in the game! And quite frankly, we think we're doing incredible.

Today @TryYaps desktop revenue crossed $10k with hundreds of active subscribers. We started off trying to make $1 on the internet, now we've made over 10,000 of them. Android and iOS making many more too, thank God! 🙏 To celebrate dropping big updates across the board (Android, iOS, mac, windows and Linux) within the next 24 hours. Looking forward to the next milestone! P.S. I say “we” a lot but really, it's just me 😅

Guys it's official! I've bootstrapped @TryYaps to a clean $1k MRR, and in the last 14 days I've actually made about $2.5k if you account for annual purchases. Kinda surreal for my first proper solo gig that's making money outside of consulting/contracting. Next stop, $10k MRR!

Pushing this harder, working more and more at the intersect between note taking, offline dictation and knowledge graphs, etc. Keeping everything markdown powered as well - So it easily integrates with other markdown-based tooling. But more importantly, that plus the MCP/CLI, makes it really easy to interact with AI agents, etc. Once I finish optimising some logic stuff behind the scenes, this will be ready to go live.
This week: Nail MacBook, so we have a strong cross-platform solution. Doing Android was good, but desktop is the flagship product. Also intend to start improving the domain authority, @tryYaps SEO has improved, but current DA is 🚮

Shout out to @ElevenLabs for the grant. There was a feature on @TryYaps that I previously hid on Android and the desktop version that may actually be feasible now.

Today I'm launching @TryYaps on Android - a voice-first keyboard I've been rebuilding from the ground up! Ships with everything you'd expect from a modern keyboard - swipe typing, smart suggestions, autocorrect, emoji, GIFs, multi-language, light/dark themes, the whole familiar toolkit. If you're coming from Gboard, nothing to relearn. But the reason it exists is one shortcut away. Dictation that's genuinely 4× faster than typing. It also comes with some robust note taking features. A reading mode that narrates any text aloud. It also cleans up rambling drafts into something send-ready. Every one of those running on-device - no cloud, no listening, no account needed to get started. I kept wondering why no one had just built voice INTO the keyboard itself. The answer is simple, it's tough to do well 😅. Either way I built it, and will keep improving it. Feels a bit unreal to be shipping a full-stack keyboard as one person but it was fun and a necessary first step for a much broader suite of tools. If you've ever want to just yap the thing instead of typing it out - link in the comments.
