I can't go to a Muslim country and drink beer or wine, or eat bacon or pork BBQ; and my wife isn't allowed to walk around in shorts and a t-shirt in a Muslim-controlled country. So why in the hell do Muslims think that they should be allowed to tell us that we should change our laws or customs in America to accommodate them ? And WHY are Democrats telling Americans we must do that…

The U.S. House will be in session only 4 full days from July 24th to November 8th. That’s 100 paid days off versus 4 full workings days plus 4 travel (half) days. Meanwhile TRUMP says YOU have too many holidays.

Does NWI still need to be concerned about additional damaging storms this evening? I have seen mixed forecasts. Please keep us posted! Thanks! @BrianWilkes59wx

If you are traveling into Northwest Indiana in the next few days, please fill up with gas prior to entering Lake or Porter Counties. Fill up in Illinois if traveling east along I-80/94, Michigan or LaPorte County if traveling west on I-94, and in the Lafayette area if traveling north on I-65 from the Indianapolis area. Due to power outages, the gas stations that are open are very busy and may run out of fuel, both gasoline and diesel, at the current rate of need with generators running. Also, many secondary roads remain blocked with down wires and trees that will take days to be cleared. Travel safe and if you can avoid travel, please consider doing so until roadways are clear and power restored. @nwi @CBS4Indy @cbschicago @nbcchicago @ABC7Chicago @ABC57News @16NewsNow @WSBT @fox32news @WGNMorningNews @WGNTV @WGNtraffic @WBBM1059Traffic @WBBMNewsradio @indiana105 @PostTrib @INDOTNorthwest @RegionNewsNow @Telemundo

1979: fasting glucose over 140 makes you diabetic. 1997: lowered to 126. Millions of new diabetics. Same blood. 1997: prediabetes starts at 110. 2003: lowered to 100. A third of American adults, created by a footnote. 1984: high blood pressure is 160/95. 2017: lowered to 130/80. American hypertension goes from 32 per cent of adults to 46. Thirty-one million new patients in a morning. 2001: the cholesterol target is 130. 2004: lowered to 100, and to 70 for the high risk. Statin eligibility expands by millions. Eight of the nine men who wrote that 2004 update were on the payroll of companies selling statins. They disclosed it only when forced. 1994: a WHO panel invents osteopenia. Bone that is not thin enough to break, given a name and a prescription. Half of older women qualify. Nobody got sicker on any of those dates. A committee sat down and a number moved. The threshold drops, the market widens, and the drug is already licensed and sitting in the warehouse. Your grandfather was healthy at 145/92. You are ill at 132/81. Nothing about the body has changed. Only the paperwork, and who profits from it.

The Chicago Bears tried working with the Democratic Governor of Illinois for six years, desperately trying to keep the Bears in Illinois, to no avail In December, they reached out to the Republican Governor of Indiana, and quickly made a deal to move the team 17 miles away!

Bears fan here born and raised in city of Chicago. Now proud NWI resident. Both city and state of Illinois have been stonewalling and dragging their feet for years. Typical blue state. Indiana cleared the gates and is business friendly. No brainer. For all you haters- remember the Staley Bears and where they started. Remember George. Keep in mind all the other NFL teams that are 15 miles outside of the city in which the team is named after. Still might not like it- but blame your politicians not the team. Ps. Leave your politics in IL if you move to IN. There is a reason you are moving 😆😆😆

What a great post!
Happy Birthday to George Washington. George Washington, who rode into hails of bullets, had two horses shot out from underneath him, and would wear his coat laced with the bulletholes when he spoke to inspire his men. George Washington, who native chiefs declared “divinely protected” during and for decades after the French and Indian War. George Washington, who once left a portrait painting to go throw a discus clear across the Delaware River just because his men joked that he couldn’t. George Washington, who could out drink, out dance, out ride, and out fight any human being. George Washington, who stood a towering 6’2, and could have become multi-sport competitive athlete today, in any throwing game, plus archery, wrestling, and sword fighting George Washington, who referred to Christmas dinner as “the attack of the Christmas Pies” George Washington, a largely self taught scholar, and military genius. George Washington, who survived diphtheria, tuberculosis, smallpox, dysentery, malaria, quinsy, carbuncle, epiglottitis, and pneumonia. George Washington who brought variolation to his troops when a smallpox epidemic was wiping out 30% of the country. Yet he still respected natural immunity. George Washington, who crossed the frozen Delaware on Christmas night to slay the Hession mercenaries in their sleep. George Washington, a spy ring leader, agricultural innovator, pioneer, one of the first surveyors of America and the first signer of the U.S. Constitution. George Washington, who on December 23, 1783, in the Old Senate Chamber in Annapolis, with the war over and independence won, bowed to Congress, publicly resigned from the Army, and physically handed back his commission. George Washington, who declared at the first constitutional convention, “no new slaves to America at all, And No Slavery at all in the northwest territory.” George Washington, who was unanimously elected president twice. George Washington, who established The first national “Thanksgiving Day,” to be celebrated on November 26, 1789, as a way of “‘giving thanks’ for the Constitution,” George Washington, one of six redheaded presidents George Washington, who granted Amnesty to the Whiskey Rebels, and never once abused his power. George Washington, who refused to be president forever and retired to make whiskey. George Washington, who gave the greatest farewell address in the history of our nation, which warned Americans against the danger of political parties, implored us to remain neutral in foreign conflicts, make no permanent alliances, and to celebrate our achievements. “First in war, first in peace, first in the hearts of his countrymen.” -Richard Henry Lee’s eulogy for Washington 1799 George Washington, the picture of American exceptionalism.
