The problem is cops don't know who they're dealing with. It could be a poor mother or it could be a hardened killer. So they take their cues based on behaviour, and if your behaviour is driving at them they will assume the worst... There are tons of videos of cops just chilling and getting blown away or run over. Cops are human too and in fight or flight mode they will make mistakes. That's way people always say "just comply". Your risk when complying is minimal, your risk when fleeing is way higher.

A ruling from the St Petersburg court is meaningless internationally. They have no jurisdiction over Finland, it's just a politically motivated gimmick. No Russian courts have ever questioned the legality of the USSRs invasion of Poland or Finland, which were both illegal according to modern international law. In fact, Russian courts have done the opposite and convicted people for sharing that the USSR started WW2 with the Nazis by invading Poland. It's pure hypocrisy not unbiased modern law...

In reality the Finns were the victims. They were neutral & unjustly attacked by the USSR. when the Nazis turned on the USSR, the Finns used the opportunity to take their land back. They went to their old border and held it there. They didn't bomb the city or try advance further
