A 46 YEAR OLD MAN ARRESTED AND GOODS RECOVERED IN KENSINGTON @SAPoliceService Police in Johannesburg arrested a 46-year-old Malawian national following an intelligence driven operation conducted in Kensington. Police received information about a man who was allegedly in possession of goods suspected to have been stolen during a robbery in Johannesburg central, which included a Ford Ranger. The information was immediately operationalised, leading police to an address in Kensington, where a search of the premises was conducted. During the search, police recovered a Ford ranger allegedly involved in the robbery, along with five bales of jeans. Further investigation led police to a self storage facility where the suspected stolen goods were kept. Two storage units were searched, resulting in the recovery of 1,700 bales of jeans. The estimated value of the recovered goods is approximately R8 million. The suspect was immediately arrested, and police investigations in this case are continuing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the alleged robbery and the recovered goods.
