What was Abinadi's tomorrow like?
What will yours be like?
The story of Abinadi has been on my mind a lot lately. He gave his life preaching Christ's gospel. He likely knew what the outcome would be on his final visit to Noah. The Lord protected him until he said everything he needed to say. He was put to death not only for his beliefs but the courage to call people to repentance.
Through all of this he only converted one person. That one conversion was a powerful one however in Alma. That lead to hundreds of people changing their lives.
This is a powerful example to me. I may be made fun of or treated poorly for what I believe. That doesn't bother me so much anymore. I also don't have to try and change the world. My impact no matter how small can lead to big changes over time.
A marriage that does not last for eternity is like a sand castle on a beach--when the tide comes in or the kids tear it down, all you are left with is the memories and dusty photos.

The world will continue to search for solutions to the problems so prevalent in our society today, but the reality is, we already have them. Heavenly Father has already given us everything we need!

The further we turn away from God, the greater our problems will become.
The closer we get to Jesus Christ, the more clearly we will be able to see solutions right in front of us— and we will hear His voice, and recognize the help He is offering.
The answer is ALWAYS Jesus Christ!
To a couple who insist that they can be together forever without making and being true to authorized sealing covenants in the temple, the Savior might say: "Are you taking my death and resurrection for granted?"
Many will be challenged by this, but that does not change reality.
Gathering is a key to spiritual survival.

If we spend our lives critiquing and obsessing over the things we hate, we become what we hate.
A man who does not rest when it is time to rest, or who does not enjoy his sabbaths, loses his savor. There are problems that need to be solved but when anger displaces love, we lose.
The book of Ecclesiastes felt different this time. He wasn't calling life pointless. He repeatedly emphasized that it is good for a person to enjoy the fruits of his labors, love, and family connection. Death and sin breed vanity. The resurrection through Jesus Christ is the cure

Faithful members love the Savior and honor His servants, having faith in the Lord’s declaration that “whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same.”
Gratefully we thank God for a prophet to guide us in these latter days. But many turn a deaf ear to his teachings, oblivious to his prophetic position.
They do so at great risk, for scriptures contain this warning: “A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you … ; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. …“Every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.” (Acts 3:22–23.)
President J. Reuben Clark, Jr., said, “We do not lack a prophet; what we lack is a listening ear.”

Who told the woman washing Jesus's feet that her consecration ought to have been sold, and given to the poor, and why did he say it?
What we each want most is to be a memorable and Christlike part of the greatest story ever told.
When the end credits roll on life, we each righteously want to be remembered but to give all the glory to God.
We are merely actors, but God is the Producer and Jesus is the Star.
