Trumpington Rovers FC

Nowhere near good enough. We go again next week 🩷🖤

After three weeks of cup action, league football returns as we welcome Haverhill Town, the league’s only unbeaten side. We know it’ll be a tough test! A huge thank you to Cambridge Environmental for sponsoring our last four games. Your support is hugely appreciated! 🩷🖤

🏆 We exit the Cambs Junior Cup on penalties. After a strong first half, we led 2-1 before Hardwick came out strong. The boys dug deep and showed real fight to take it to pens. Plenty of positives to take! 🩷🖤 Full credit to Hardwick & best of luck in the next round.

🏆 Back in cup action for the third week running! 🩷🖤 This time, it’s a replay of our previously abandoned fixture against Hardwick Reserves. We know it’ll be a tough test, but we’re ready for the challenge!

Definitely one for the neutrals! 😮‍💨 Wicken scored all 4 from set pieces, an area we need to improve. But the boys showed real nerve, scoring all 4 pens, with Chaz saving one before scoring the winner himself! 🧤 Into the next round we go! 🩷🖤

🏆 Cup action returns this Saturday! This time it’s the League Cup, and after a few tough results, we’re looking to get back to winning ways and build some momentum! 🩷🖤

2-0 down at HT despite creating chances of our own. We’ll be back! 🩷🖤 The game was abandoned following a serious ankle injury to Erick. Since joining this season, he’s settled brilliantly in midfield. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Erick. We’re all with you! 🩷🖤

🏆 CUP ACTION! 🩷🖤 Third home game on the bounce as we look to turn our form around! Tough test ahead against an in-form Hardwick Reserves side, but we’re ready for the challenge. 👊

Simply not good enough. A much-needed break from league action next week as we head into cup action. Time to reset, regroup and go again. 🩷🖤

Back at the Theatre of Bobbles on Saturday as we welcome West Wratting A, a side we know all too well from last season. After a couple of frustrating results, the lads will be looking to bounce back. Huge thanks to Cambridge Environmental for sponsoring our next 4 games! 🤝

First home game of the season ends in defeat. Credit to Walden, who had a plan and executed it well, going long and slowing the game whenever they could. Unlucky again not to get a point, but a good shift from the lads.

Finally back at home! 🩷🖤 For our first home league game of the season, we welcome Walden United to The Theatre of Bobbles. They’re the only side yet to drop any points, so we’re expecting a good battle from start to finish. Time to put on a show at home! 🩷🖤

Last-minute heartbreak as Elsenham take all 3 points. We deserved at least a point, but conceding 3 set pieces simply isn’t good enough. We go again next week. Time to bounce back in our first league game at home. 🩷🖤

We’re on the road again! 🚌 The Rovers make the long trip to Elsenham to take on a familiar side as we look to keep the momentum going. 🩷🖤 Let’s go, Rovers! 💪

Another deserved win for the lads 🩷🖤 The better side on the day in a scrappy game where we never really got out of second gear. But ultimately, it’s another 3 points on the board and that’s all that matters. We move onto next week. 🩷🖤

4-0 up at half-time after a dominant first half, before a quieter second half saw us cruise to a 5-1 win! 👏 A solid start to the season without even getting out of second gear. Plenty more to come! 🩷🖤 WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE, SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE! 🎶

LEAGUE FOOTBALL IS BACK! 🩷🖤 We kick off our 26/27 CCL Division 2A campaign against familiar opposition in Cambridge Cobras. New league. New challenge. Same Rovers. 💪 Let’s get started. 🩷🖤 #TRFC #UpTheRovers

What a performance! 🤩 1-0 down against a side from the league above, the boys stayed composed, forced mistakes and turned it around to secure the win! 💪🏼 Another strong defensive display, with Chaz earning MOTM for some crucial saves! Bring on league action Saturday! 🩷🖤

Our final game of pre-season and our first one back at Byron Square, The Theatre of Bobbles 🤩 We’re expecting our toughest test yet as we take on Comberton United Reserves, a side from the league above. One final test before the real stuff begins 🩷🖤

Almost the perfect final pre-season away day. 💪🏼 A composed 90 against a physical Swavesey side, letting our football do the talking. A long-range effort in the final 10 denied us the clean sheet. One more at Byron Square next Saturday. 🩷🖤
