CONFIRMED: "Tommy"—the heckler who tried to gotcha El-Sayed at his Michigan town hall—is not some random guy. He is Thomas Teepell, Operations Director for Republican Senator Josh Hawley until February of this year.
This explains why his "gotcha" targeted the Muslim candidate.
The Handbasket first identified him via his X and Facebook profiles (Detroit) and LegiStorm, which confirms he ran Hawley’s Senate operations until February. Crooks and Liars, Newsy Today, and Lawyers Guns & Money have since confirmed it.
Tommy’s father is Timmy Teepell, a Republican strategist who worked for Bobby Jindal (2004–2011), ran his 2015 presidential campaign, and helped Josh Hawley win as Missouri Attorney General in 2016 and U.S. Senator in 2018.
Christian nationalist ties run deep. Timmy is described as the “most powerful ally” of Sean Feucht, who preaches Christian supremacy. Video shows Feucht praying over father and son. Tommy interviewed on-stage with Feucht at his D.C. headquarters in April 2024.
On October 2, the University of Michigan student paper revealed that America Next—a PAC founded by Bobby Jindal—offered College Republicans $200 to attend El-Sayed’s Flint town hall, boo him, and ask inflammatory questions for viral moments. Nothing happened in Flint; then Tommy appeared in Caro.
El-Sayed disavowed the Muslim Brotherhood on the spot, spent four minutes dismantling the question, and Tommy walked out.
The “gotcha” was on him.

Tommy, who worked as Josh Hawley’s ops director, is the son of Bobby Jindal’s longtime COS, Tim Teepell, who is listed as the principal for Breakthrough LLC. This month, Jindal’s dark money group paid $250,000 to Breakthrough LLC, for influencer marketing opposing Abdul El-Sayed.

Dear Donald Trump,
How truly fucking pathetic and desperate.
You are the President of the United States, yet you are spending your time resorting to childish nicknames and attacking a political opponent for being vegan. That is not leadership. It is petty, unserious, and beneath the office you hold.
Meanwhile, the man you are endorsing was impeached by his own Republican-controlled Texas House. That alone should raise serious questions about your judgment and priorities. Instead of explaining why voters should trust someone with that record, you are throwing insults at a political opponent over what they choose to eat.
Of all the issues facing this country—rising costs, threats abroad, political corruption, public safety, healthcare, and the basic functioning of government—this is what you choose to spend your time on? Not solutions. Not accountability. Not the responsibilities of the presidency. Just name-calling and cheap political attacks.
For fuck’s sake, act like the President of the United States instead of some whiny little bitch looking for attention. The office deserves better, and the American people deserve better than this embarrassing display of pettiness.
Thank you for your attention to this!
Sincerely,
a FedUpAmerican 😡

Fourth-and-1 at midfield today. Fourth-and-2 in the fourth quarter. We got stopped both times, and Florida scored a touchdown after each one.
Coach Sark,
I played for Texas. I was a team captain and an All-American on the Forty Acres. I love this program, so writing this hurts. I'm only doing it because I think one thing is holding us back, and I'd rather say it to you straight than keep yelling at my TV.
Please hand the play sheet to someone else.
You've done a lot for this place. Two straight playoff semifinals and an SEC title game in our first year. Texas matters again because of you, and I'm grateful. I'm not calling for your job. Not even close.
But look at the big moments. Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl, first-and-goal at the 1, and we walked away with nothing. Ohio State again last year, fourth-and-goal from inches, we stayed in a speed package and got stuffed. You said yourself you'd probably sub if you could do it over.
Last week against OU it was third-and-1 at our own 45 and we threw a little pass to the back that lost 2. Tied 24-24, two minutes left, fourth-and-2 at their 35, we sent out the kicker for a 53-yarder. Today you called the fourth-down run "not very good design."
I went back through the official play-by-play. In our two losses this year we converted 4 of 11 third and fourth downs with two yards or less to go.
That's not all on the line or the backs. Nobody is getting push right now. We're running for about 3.6 a carry. That's exactly why this offense needs a coach whose whole week is the offense. Your job never stops. Recruiting, the portal, NIL, a 100-plus man roster. That's a full-time job by itself.
History backs this up. The last head coach to win a national title calling his own offensive plays was Jimbo Fisher, in the 2013 season. No champion in the playoff era has done it. Ryan Day gave the calls to Chip Kelly in 2024 and won it all. You won a ring at Alabama calling plays for Coach Saban.
You already have Kyle Flood with the coordinator title. Let him call it, or bring in someone you trust. Then you get to be the head coach on fourth-and-1, seeing the whole field.
This is the school that ran the wishbone to titles in '69 and '70. Earl Campbell ran for 1,744 yards in '77. Ricky Williams left with 6,279. We know who we're supposed to be. And our defense is holding teams under 3 yards a carry. We can win with that.
After OU you said "not a chance" about giving up the calls. I'm asking you to think about it one more time. For the players.
Hook 'em.
Texas fans, if you agree, please repost and tag @CoachSark. #HookEm

This is so sickening.
A protester at Trump’s Youngstown, Ohio rally was just punched in the face by a Trump supporter as Trump eggs it all on and makes fun of the guy’s weight.
This is Trump’s America.

MS NOW gives us an amazing slow zoom on GOP Senator Katie Britt and her look of UTTER HORROR as she watches MAGA Senator Eric Schmittstain Schmitt end his career in a most humiliating fashion
She opposes abortion and yet Schmitt just aborted his 2028 VP odds on live TV
🤡 Eric Schmitt beclowns himself during Jack Smith hearing 🤡
Schmitt concocted an elaborate conspiracy theory that Smith traveled to Atlanta to go to a Hawks game and collude with Fani Willis, and briefly displayed his "evidence" on a poster board before accusing Smith of perjury. There's just one problem -- Schmitt's facts were totally wrong. Smith was actually in Maryland at a Hawkeyes (not a Hawks) game and never met Willis. As Klobuchar told him, "You have your teams wrong."
Here's the whole deeply embarrassing sequence:

Hey @MarshaBlackburn maybe at the UT game you can ask Trump about rolling out the red carpet for China?
Kinda awkward after you literally crushed fortune cookies and did that whole racist ad and said y'all would be so tough on them😬
