When the news broke that Brandon Aiyuk hired Drew Rosenhaus as his agent, a couple thoughts immediately came to mind:
- He knows he messed up and handled this situation as poorly as he could have
- He's starting to get desperate after having not played since 2024 and wants to play again
- Money is starting to dry up and he knows he has to get paid
Owing the 49ers $13 million adds quite the twist to this story and saga.

Brandon Aiyuk, his representation and the NFLPA were sent a letter from the NFL on Thursday night informing him that Aiyuk owes the 49ers approximately $13 million in bonus forfeiture, source says. Another source confirms that's the amount the 49ers contend that Aiyuk owes to them in bonus forfeiture, as @TomPelissero reported. It's part of an ongoing set of deliberations that includes the NFLPA and the NFL Management Council. It's not clear how that issue will be resolved.
