🔥 Strong start in Atlanta for Knights Knation/Dodgers Scout! 🔥
The boys open up the 17U PG WWBA with a 6-2 victory over F4 Faltine Scout Team.
Offensively, several bats came up big:
⚾ 2027 Uncommitted SS Greg Ruiz – 1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI
⚾ Clayton Fontenot – 1-for-3, R
⚾ Chase Marcotte – 2-for-3, RBI
⚾ Mason Rogillio – 1-for-2
⚾ Brock Budreau – 1-for-1, 2 BB
On the mound, the pitching staff set the tone:
🔥 Cameron Gangi (2027 Oklahoma Commit) got the start and was impressive, working 4 innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs, and 2 walks while striking out 8. Gangi sat 88-90 mph with the fastball and filled up the zone at a 65% strike rate.
🔥 Jason Decuir was outstanding in relief, punching out 6 hitters in 2 dominant innings of work. Decuir attacked the strike zone all outing, throwing 68% strikes while keeping F4 hitters on the defensive.
A great opening-day win against a quality opponent to kick off the biggest event of the summer. Keep it rolling, boys!
