Jordan Wike, son of Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has denied allegation that he collected $2.1 million from Safwan Garba, a businessman, for a real estate business deal in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Jordan appeared before Sylvanus Oriji, the presiding judge at the FCT high court, on Wednesday as proceedings continued in the suit over the alleged business deal.

October 1st is here, but beyond the celebration, there is a question we must ask: what have our leaders truly done for the people?
Independence should not only be about ceremonies, speeches and celebrations. It should also be a time for reflection, accountability and honest assessment of the progress made.
What has changed for the ordinary Nigerian? What have the people gained from those entrusted with leadership? And what more must be done to build a nation where the people can truly experience meaningful development?
October 1st is not just a day to celebrate. It is also a day to ask questions!
