Met police informed Meghan of the accusations against her father and also told her that they were investigating the matter. I’m sure a large part of her didn’t want to believe that it was true. Let’s also not forget that a lot of untrue accusations have been made about her and Harry over the years. I think it’s perfectly reasonable that she had hoped they weren’t true whilst also protecting herself and her children out of an abundance of caution. Had she accused her father publicly it would have gone against police advice, compromised a potential investigation, opened herself up to defamatory litigation, and would never have been believed by her critics anyway. Not to mention this would have given Thomas ample time to destroy any and all evidence.
Being angry with Meghan and NOT her accused father is truly mentally unwell. Get help.

My pet theory here is that this is a play by both Miller and Vance to force the Dems hands on impeachment.
Dems don't want to impeach Trump. They want him to be a two year albatross of corruption. The Republicans want him gone. They're going to go scorched earth to force Dems to do the job. Then Vance gets to come in and pretend to be sane.
This, I think, is also why you're seeing so many resignations. People on the inside know what comes next and they don't want to be around for it.

Whatever Meghan Markle’s father may have done, his daughter is not responsible for his conduct. Any allegations against him must be judged on their own merits. Responsibility belongs to him alone, not to Meghan, Prince Harry or their children.
In my view, this story would scarcely attract such attention in Britain without the opportunity to attach Meghan’s name to it. Her relationship with her father should never be used as a weapon against her family.
It is also time for the King and the Royal Family to offer their clear and public support on this principle, once and for all. Whatever their differences, they should be united in rejecting the suggestion that Meghan, Harry or their children must answer for another person’s actions.
Enough is enough. Fairness, compassion and basic human decency should prevail.
