I’m looking for Col. Blanton’s egg nog recipe. Had it. Then lost it when computer died. Need it. Please send.
Happy birthday to the woman who set the standard for “cool aunts.” @JillyBits, I wish you a happy 70th birthday and I join the legions of folks whose lives you’ve touched in saying I love you and enjoy your day.
My sweet Lab, Grits, died yesterday when her huge heart finally gave out. She lived to retrieve, bringing back her last duck two weeks ago. Anyone who spends time with a Lab on a dove field or duck blind understands the special love Labs give. We love you. Rest well, ol’ girl.
Today, I take judicial notice that my dearest of friends, @JudgeDillard, has competed another year on this earth. And, like so many of you, my life is better bc he invested in it. Happiest of birthdays to my old friend.
I recall being a 22 yo LT leading my first platoon. Bc of some brave soldiers 76 yrs ago, I never had to lead them onto a beach in heavy fire, knowing most wouldn’t make it home. Thank you again to those who did this for us. #Weoweyou
30 years ago today, 516 cadets joined The Long Gray Line of Citadel graduates. I was lucky and proud to be among them. Afterwards, I received my commission as a 2LT in the US Army. What an honor to wear 2 very special uniforms. Thank you @Citadel1842 and @USArmy.

Nothing ruins a holiday more quickly than biting into a chocolate chip cookie, only to discover it is an oatmeal raisin abomination. If you detest your guests and wish to spread holiday misery, then by all means, serve them. But if you do, the terrorists have already won.

I am a @SamfordU graduate, and Judge @TrippSelf is a @Citadel1842 graduate. Every year, we have a friendly bet about the @SamfordFootball-@CitadelFootball game. The graduate of the losing school must wear a bow tie of the winning school on the bench, and have a photograph taken. – at Macon, GA
Congratulations to my law school classmate, great friend and now colleague, JP Boulee, on his successful Senate confirmation to be a United States District Judge for the Northern Dostrixt of Georgia. He will serve us well. Well done, JP.
