We don’t even talk about how male students are terrorised in these high schools. Even innocent friendships with female students are misconstrued because adults project their own depraved minds onto these boys, almost as though they were competing with the girls’ male peers.

“I am a man of God.” “I am a church elder.” “I am a teacher.” “I am a headmaster.” These titles are meant to protect. Instead, too many abusers wear them as cloaks, using respect and status to hide their evil, to rape, to defile, and to silence. It is exactly why, when the truth comes out, the victims are the ones doubted. “Not him. He’s a respected man.” But a title is not a character reference. Status does not equal innocence. We must stop protecting reputations and start protecting children. Demand accountability, no matter who the accused is. #JusticeForObuasiSHTSGirls

One of capitalism's greatest achievements is turning luxuries into necessities. Air conditioning, refrigerators, smartphones, and travel were once unimaginable luxuries. Now their widespread availability is taken for granted, and their absence is treated as evidence of poverty.

While we’re on the matter, children are NOT in school to serve housemasters and housemistresses. Stop making children cook for you, clean your homes, wash your clothes, fetch water and perform other personal chores that have absolutely nothing to do with their education. They are students, not your domestic workers! And please, spare me the “we did it in our time” argument. Just because you endured something doesn’t mean another generation should have to. Some traditions deserve to end with us. Children go to school to learn, not to serve the very adults who have been entrusted with their care.

I agree with @iakarimgh As a gender champion and second most important person in the country Your response to 19 of your students being sexually exploited in one space, should lead to a system shattering, cultural shift with extensive reforms and very strong punitive actions

Infinite growth is not capitalism’s win condition; plus, capitalism has already ensured that everyone has their material needs met and socialism has not.
Literally the opposite is true. Capitalism’s win condition is infinite growth which is quite literally impossible. Socialism’s win condition is everyone having their material needs met which is easily attainable.

"Socialism’s win condition is everyone having their material needs met" If this is true, then socialism's win condition is infinite growth. Human material needs are infinite. Ant system that seeks to fulfill those needs must infinitely grow.

There are so many things in between “look and laugh” and behead
So if two people were caught having illicit sex in a church people will just look, laugh and pass? 🤔

Nobody will behead them. Even if you have the sex in a cathedral in the Vatican city, nobody will behead you.

Where is family values bill man?

A party who has been pushing the hate bill to supposedly protect children is filled with rapists and pedophiles. Color me shocked
The NDC Communications Officer for Amasaman asks if I have never r@ped anyone before and questions what’s wrong if his fellow party member r@pes children. 🤯🤦🏽‍♂️ Eii! Has r@pe become something to defend in the NDC? Whatever happened to morality and accountability? 💔

This is the part that annoyed me most. You’ve heard that he’s molesting girls and decide that boys, instead should go to his bungalow. As if boys are immune to sexual harassment. You see eh, boys don’t talk because their own shame they care about these things is worse, so they act tough. But if we were to have honest conversations you’d be shocked how boys have suffered similar.

For many, it starts when you are a child. The uncle insisting you sit on his lap, the family “friend” touching you inappropriately in the name of playing with you; and sometimes, before you even have the words to explain what is happening, you learn the hard way that people will protect an adults reputation over your discomfort. You leave home for school, where you are supposed to be safe, and encounter the same danger from someone entrusted with protecting you. Can you speak? No! And even if you do, who protects you? Unless you’re walking around with a camera, it’s your word against theirs. And most are more willing to give the accused a benefit of doubt they’d never give the accuser. And it does not end at school. For too many women, university, work and everyday life bring another round of unwanted advances, harassment and the exhausting calculation of whether speaking up will cost them more than staying silent. Your mothers, sisters, wives, aunties etc all have a story, they’re just silent because they embarrassed to share, and know they don’t have the evidence you require to believe them.

The bigger picture here is that if you’re making people miss Bawumia then you’re doing something absolutely terribly wrong.
supporters of erstwhile gov’t said that’s what it was till DMB came into the picture. and i’m beginning to believe that. cos’ we can’t point late emissah, aliu mahama & even jdm as vice president for anything, like we can boldly credit DMB for digitalization. i might be wrong tho

Yes. So long as you’re not doing anything illegal which is true for most systems
The ideological belief here is that profit-seeking naturally translates into social good.

The beauty of capitalism is that you don't have to care about helping people to improve their lives. The profits incentivize even the most selfish entrepreneur to figure out what other people want. Markets turn self-interest into mutual benefit. That's the entire point.
Capitalists wouldn't be capitalists if they actually wanted to help people.

I have a big problem with lumping the very varied and diverse religions in the continent together as African spirituality. We must start respecting the diversity of our cultures/religions and how they stand on their own without any linkages to other African religions.
It is not good it isn’t bad, it is a source of harnessing “power” from the universe. The individual involved uses it for either good or bad. African spirituality usually operates within 3 main dimensions which I will explain in more details below

Communists just don’t want to work at the end of the day. They think society just operates on its own without anyone doing anything. Yes, they’re this fucking retarded and lazy
