Another incident in Bengaluru where some random uncle is recording a woman without consent🥲
Hitler in his manifesto Mein Kampf exclusively used Hakenkreuz.
James Vincent Murphy, an Irish translator and former Catholic priest who published the first complete English translation of Mein Kampf in 1939.
Murphy deliberately chose to substitute "Swastika" for Hakenkreuz to protect the Christian church.
Adolf Hitler specifically called his symbol the Hakenkreuz (literally "hooked cross"), never using the Sanskrit term "swastika". He encountered this geometric motif prominently during his childhood. In 1897 and 1898, Hitler attended the Benedictine monastery choir school at Lambach Abbey in Austria.
The abbot of that monastery, Theoderich Hagn, had integrated the Hakenkreuz into his personal coat of arms. As a result, the hooked cross was prominently carved into the monastery’s stone walls, woodwork, and portals where a young Hitler saw it daily.
