Today I begin seriously revisiting which controller I should use in SSBU. Been GameCube since melee, but also have 25 years of bad habit across SSBM, Brawl, 4 & Ult. Tried ProCon privately and think more shoulders would help me in some YLink stuff. Tried ProCon 2, and it has some SnapBack issues sadly. But does feel great. Concluded I’ll use a modified ProCon 1 w/ octagonal gates & a new shell. —- Controls-wise: - L1 attack for when I short hop macro from B/Y to attack using a non-thumb - L2 jumps for GSA OoS - R1 specials for buffered projectiles out of jumps & eventual b-reverse / wavebounces 🙏 - B/Y jump for short hop macro - X on Grab, while weird, is a leftover habit from Toon Link in Brawl for me — Not 100% on L1 and R1 maps. May swap actions. May make L1 something else. Testing begins today!
