Across 114 dropbacks, he earned an 87.9 overall grade per PFF - His average of 258.3 YPG in his starts, projects to ~4,400 over 17 games and to hit this, he needs only 194.1 YPG over 17 or 210 YPG in 16. For the last three weeks, Penix recorded eight big-time throws, second most in the NFL. - His college production at Washington (9,544 yards, 67 TDs over 2022-23) and elite PFF metrics in clean pocket and under pressure scream potential for the 2024 #8 overall pick. - The Falcons run back HC Raheem Morris and OC Zac Robinson, who ran a balanced 2024 attack (51.8% pass rate, 251.9 pass YPG, 130.5 rush YPG, 29:45 TOP, +0.4 margin). Robinson enters year two, getting a full offseason to build around Penix’s strengths, unlike last year’s adjustment from Kirk Cousins’ style. They’ve spent a lot of time this offseason together to further their chemistry & expect them to be one of the best QB/WR duos for 2025. - Outside of London, the receiving depth is solid with Darnell Mooney, DJ Chark, Ray-Ray McCloud and Kyle Pitts . He also has an elite running back in Bijan Robinson (1,887 all-purpose yards in 2024) whom is also an elite receiving threat out of the backfield (119 catches in his first two seasons). If defenses focus on Bijan, it could leave London and Mooney in 1v1s down the field where Penix is at his best. His play style could MAYBE unlock the potential of Kyle Pitts, the 2021 No. 4 overall pick whom exploded out of the gate with 1,026 yards as a rookie but has been unable to build or even sustain that level of production in the three years since. - The 2025 slate offers late-season gold (Weeks 15-18: TB, ARI, LAR, NO), with TB (256.1 YPG), ARI (237.9), and NO (242.7) ranking bottom-10 in pass defense last year. The Falcons defense ranked 23rd in the league last year in their own right & their lack of a pass-rush could lead to trailing scripts which usually amountsto high volume passing games. - This line is a bargain considering what we saw from him late last season with little preparation. He will need to refine his accuracy especially when forced off-script but Penix showcased enough vertical passing ability to suggest he can be a dynamic playmaker moving forward.
