Playing with Depth of Field: focusing on the tree in middle distance, DoF becomes super shallow with a very wide f/1.8 aperture. With the tree in focus, and foreground blurred, the scene looks like a model village! Canon EOS R6 Mk III, RF 45mm F1.2 STM, f/1.8, 1/2000 sec, ISO100.
I's great getting creative with the Canon RF 45mm F1.2 STM lens. It’s fun to shoot with wide apertures for creatively blurred landscapes of flowery fields to close-ups of dandelion! Looking forward to to teaching new shallow DoF effects to my clients on the next workshops.

Being in the right place at the right time can make a big difference to the photos I take. Photographing Port Issac in North Cornwall recently, I was positioned out on a headland when two orange RIBs zoomed into my frame to fill the empty foreground #canon
