In Quantizer, each piece receives certain fixed parameters at mint, which are then re-interpreted every 12 seconds using Ethereum block hashes. Van den Dorpel compares it to how there are certain patterns or rules that dictate the sea’s motion, but no wave will ever be the same.
As they transform, the works hold no memory of previous states - there is only the ever-evolving present. There is no final state or finish line to race towards, merely infinite transformation.
