Excited to share that @TranslatePress is now available on @Shopify as well.
The TranslatePress app is built natively for Shopify, no proxies or cloaking. Your translations live directly in your store, meaning you own your translation data forever. Every page stays fully indexable with automated multilingual SEO (hreflang + localized URLs).
TranslatePress AI lets you translate everything automatically in a few clicks. Whenever you add or update products, auto-sync picks up the changes and makes sure everything stays translated.
If you or your clients run a Shopify store, check it out and let us know what you think: translatepress.com/shopify-t…
"Why pay for a translation plugin when #ChatGPT can do it for free?"
Fair question. Here's the honest answer.
🧵 [1/3]
#LLMs are genuinely great translators — context-aware, tone-preserving, good with idioms. But for website translation, they hit a wall:
❌ Can't find every string across your site
❌ No hreflang tag management
❌ Terminology drifts across pages
❌ Manual copy-paste
[2/3]
We wrote an honest breakdown of where LLMs shine, where they fall short, and what the most practical setup looks like for WordPress sites.

Yesterday I discovered one @TranslatePress client that has added 30 languages on their website, that’s a @WooCommerce shop with ~1000 products, plus a blog with around 1500 articles and used TranslatePress AI to translate everything automatically (around 1B characters).
This is exactly the complex setup that tests the limits of your software.
Happy to report everything went smoothly. 🫡 😉

Happy Birthday to us! 🥳
We felt this was a good year to grow, so for our birthday, we are not taking any breaks (maybe except for cake). 🎂
We are working on something exciting, and we can't wait to share it with you very soon and celebrate growth, both in age and in projects.

@TranslatePress turns 9 today!
We started with a simple idea: build the easiest way to translate a #WordPress site. Something people would just get on the first try. Now we're closing in on 500K websites, and I still find that hard to believe sometimes.
But honestly, what's most rewarding is the people using it. Their constant feedback, feature requests, the occasional "why can't it do X yet?" That's what shaped the product into what it is today.
I promise we won't settle. Here's to year 10! 🙏🚀
First time attending @WordCampUS. I went solo, with zero expectations, just looking to connect, contribute and listen. I feel the event overdelivered on that front.
Met so many online friends in real life, but the best part were the spontaneous hallway, lunch & coffee table chats with WP folks I’d never met before. A simple “Hi, what do you do with WordPress?” goes a long way.
Throw in a full day trip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon, and this journey was one for the books. Returning home energized and full of ideas. Now, back to work to bring them to life! 🚀

If you're looking to talk #multilingual at #WCUS this year, look for the #TranslatePress t-shirt!
Our CEO, Adi, is attending on behalf of the team, so feel free to say hi if you see him. 👋
First time attending @WordCampUS, and it’s going to be a hot one! 🔥 😀
Really looking forward to connecting with founders and product leaders to chat about WP, AI, and growth strategies; sharing what’s working for us at @translatepress and @cozmoslabs.
If you’re at #WCUS and want to have a chat, my DMs are open. Ping me! Who else is going?
Your #multilingual site can be 100% accurate and still feel wrong to native speakers. Here's why — and a simple fix that most site owners overlook. 🌐
[1/3]
Automatic translation picks different words for the same concept depending on context. "Subscription" becomes "membership" on one page, "plan" on another, "recurring payment" somewhere else.
None are wrong. All together? Your site feels unpolished. Visitors notice. 👀
[2/3]
The fix: a translation glossary (even 20–30 terms) + a short style guide for tone.
Glossary-guided AI hits 81% term accuracy vs. 64% without it.

@TranslatePress team boarding for Krakow #WCEU. Who’s there already?
My first @WCEurope was Sofia in 2014, 12 years ago. It's by far the WP event I look forward to most every year. I return energized and full of ideas. If you're there and want to chat, come by the @translatepress booth. We've got some really cool swag & prizes this year. ;) #wceu
Tired of confusing pricing plans & credit systems for automatic #translation? 😵💫
We built a free tool to solve this! Check our website word counter to know exactly how much your website translation will cost from the start. No guesswork, no surprises.

There are 5 types of #translation tools — and most #WordPress site owners are using the wrong one.
Not wrong as in broken. Wrong, as in built for a completely different problem.
🧵 [1/3]
The sneaky one to watch out for: client-side tools that translate via JavaScript.
Fast to set up, but search engines may never crawl your translated pages. Your #multilingualSEO could be invisible, and you'd never know.
👀 [2/3]
Before comparing prices or features, you need to know which *category* of tool fits your site.

A bad marketing translation costs you a click.
A bad privacy policy translation can cost you €50,000.
If your site goes #multilingual, your #legal pages need to be done right. Here's what to know: 🧵 [1/3]
Legal concepts don't always have direct equivalents across languages. Same words ≠ same meaning.
The Daimler-Chrysler merger is a famous example of how a "minor" translation gap can derail a billion-dollar deal. 🔍 [2/3]
The fix: a qualified legal translator + a terminology glossary + a tool to manage delivery across your site.
