Title IV complaints of this type, regarding discrimination and general abuse of employees and those under a senior clergy within a decade of retirement... generally go nowhere. The decades of implemented policy to discriminate may make this an exception. We can hope for justice.
The Episcopal Church has prohibited discrimination based on sexual orientation since 1994, and on gender identity and expression since 2012— but systemic discrimination and abusive behavior persists. Will we uphold our own canons?
