I've seen junior analysts outperform a senior data scientists:
The senior had a PhD.
The junior had ChatGPT.
The uncomfortable truth:
Data science was never a real discipline.
It was a gap between business and engineering.
The death blow came from LLMs.

But here's what nobody's talking about:
We still need the problems solved.
We just don't need a human doing the solving.

โข Knowing when AI is wrong
Universities still churning out data science grads.
$100k degrees for jobs that won't exist.
It's criminal.
The survivors will be those who understand:
You were never a "data scientist."
You were a problem solver who used data.
The tools changed. The problems didn't.
The writing's on the wall:
Data Scientist is joining Webmaster in the tech graveyard.
Your sklearn mastery? Obsolete.
Your Kaggle ranking? Irrelevant.
Your statistics degree? A conversation starter.

A Duke football player is facing calls for suspension after swatting away a female athletic trainer as she rushes to help his injured teammate.
Cornerback Kimari Robinson is seen standing over DaShawn Stone when the trainer gently nudges him to get closer to the injured player. Robinson responds by swatting her arm away, and the moment quickly sparks outrage online.
Robinson is now apologizing, saying he feared his teammate was seriously hurt but admits his emotions are no excuse for how he treated the trainer.

Their analysis covered ๐ฎ๐ฑ.๐ฑ ๐บ๐ถ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ผ๐ป good production units and ๐ญ๐ฐ.๐ฎ ๐บ๐ถ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ธ๐ช๐ต of electricity across 12 production lines, identifying inefficient lines and opportunities to reduce energy costs.
But the real exercise went beyond the numbers. They had to collaborate, manage responsibilities, meet deadlines and communicate their findings.
